shall the blue ink strike again?

I've been toying with the idea of painting the kitchen cabinets in the same "Blue Ink" as our fancy wood paneled wall. Thanks to the wonders of Photoshop, here's a rough look at what a paint job might do to the space:




What are your thoughts? Keep in mind this would be a temporary arrangement as one day about 5 years from now we'll have a brand spanking new kitchen to adore. In the mean time, think it'll add a little fun to the space? Or is it just too much?

    1. Thanks! Still debating with Kym, I suspect it will be another long stint of mulling options over (I'm also tempted to paint the office walls all blue for a moody, creative feel that separates my creative space from the rest of the house. But the more input the better!!)
